I am Dr. Walter Beebe, a physician at Cornea Associates of Texas. I grew up in a small farming town in Indiana. I went to Indiana University for both my undergraduate and medical school education. I then moved to West Texas and served my residency at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. I then spent a year in San Francisco for my fellowship in cornea and external disease at Pacific Presbyterian Medical Center. I then moved to Dallas in 1986 and have been a physician at Cornea Associates since that time. I specialize in corneal transplantation, cataract surgery, and refractive surgery. I am a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and numerous other societies related to my specialty. I also service as both an interviewer and write test questions for the American Board of Ophthalmology, our credential organization. I think the thing I like most about my practice is dealing with patients. I enjoy listening to their story, trying to figure out the puzzle of what’s wrong with them and then recommending either medical or surgical solutions to their problems. My spare time is occupied with family activities, in church endeavors. I enjoy fly-fishing and doing almost anything outdoors.
