Cataract Surgery in Dallas, Fort Worth, Texas - Premium Lens Implants

Until recently, most cataract patients had their vision improved with a single focus intraocular lens (IOL) which provides clear distance vision, but requires most patients to use bifocals or reading glasses to see near objects.

With either the ReSTORĀ® IOL or ReZoom™ IOL you will be able to read a book, work on the computer, enjoy outdoor activities, and drive a car with increased freedom from glasses.

Cataract surgery is performed on an outpatient basis at our Dallas and Fort Worth clinics and only requires a few hours of your time from start to finish. The cataract surgery consists of making a small incision, inserting an instrument to dissolve and remove the cloudy cataract, and finally, the insertion of the premium multifocal IOL.

Your physician will examine your eye the next day. You will begin using prescription eye drops to guard against infection and help your eye heal. Everyone heals differently, but the majority of patients return to most of their normal activities the day after surgery. Once both eyes have been treated, you will fully appreciate the advantages of the premium multifocal IOL.

Data acquired by Cornea Associates of Texas shows that 97 percent of our premium multifocal lens patients could read newsprint without the need for reading glasses.
